I wanted to develop my video editing skills and decided that continuing with my helmet shoot would be a good opportunity to work with video. I had also recently sourced an old home video camera and would like to experiment with this style of old VHS. I feel this would suit my customer very well as the creative director of Sedition Magazine, Tyler Kohlhoff, works with this style of videography. I look at Kohlhoff's video work and other VHS videos, such as Palace and old home videos from London.
I decided I wanted my model to be in the busy centre of London, surrounded by tourists and business workers to contradict the foot helmet. I want my model to look very blaize as the hustle of London moves around him. I also want there to be a lot of movement in each shot with creates a humorous feel, with the seemingly straight-faced model.
Overall, I like the home-style of the video but found learning Premiere Pro challenging and quite time-consuming. I feel if I had planned the video more, through further in-depth research, and had more locations the video could be improved. I am happy how it turned out and feels it meets my customer, however, I think I will focus on creating content for my magazine for the rest of my project as I feel this suits my customer better and allows me to spend time on the actual content rather than spending too much on learning software.
