After completing LFW, we all had a renewed sense of motivation and a better insight into the industry and Maddie Williams, I even had the opportunity to talk to and help Maddie pack up after her runway presentation!
Our group was still behind schedule but we now had a clearer concept for our shoot and more props, but we had a tighter timeline to complete the project. I created another outfit and more hanging weaving props to be utilised within our final shoot. I also completed another mock shoot with these new items before our final shoot. This was helpful as it gave me inspiration on how to take my mock shoot to a larger scale for the final shoot.
For our final shoot, Greta and I brought in our props, and we all bought in different types of plastics to start setting up our set. However, as we started to finish up our set we were unfortunately told to move which was very disappointed as it took us quite a time to create it. This, and our LFW experience taught us how to be adaptable in situations and so we quickly took it down and reset up. Unfortunately, this sets us back half a day and so we had to work quickly to finish the final shoot and our own individual jobs. Our final shoot tuned out well, and Tommy, whose role was to create a video, was filming shots for our campaign ad. However it was a bit off of the customer, this showed me how important it is to be on target with your customer to create a successful outcome.
After our final shoot, I started to created a GIF website for Maddie as her lack of a website is one of her brand's weaknesses. Taking into consideration our shoot was slightly off target, I wanted to the website to represent the movent and energy of Maddie's collections. This was my first time creating a GIF and I really enjoyed learning how to do this and would love to utilise this in another future project.
On the morning of the last day, we received feedback from Celina that our video wasn't on target with the customer as it was too eerie and we needed to produce a new one. Unfortunately, Tommy was away at an interview so we needed to come up with a quick idea to solve this problem. We decided we would make another GIF that would embody both our shoot and Maddie's fun energy, however, we only had a couple hours to complete this so we needed to be quick.
Our final presentation went ok, however, we could have utilised more time rehearsing the pitch and making it more interactive with our audiences. Overall, I enjoyed collaborating with it's interesting to see other creative's points of views, ideas and specialities coming together. However, from this experience, I learnt I work better when I'm given orders rather than being a leader and due to this I would like to develop my communication and organisation skills further.
